Job Summary
Reporting into the Sr. Manager of Influencer Marketing, Rakuten seeks a performance‑oriented influencer marketer to scale our Refer‑a‑Friend (RAF) program. This hands‑on role blends strong creative instincts with rigorous measurement, builds trusted creator relationships, and maintains a tight operating rhythm with internal partners and agency support.
Key Responsibilities
Own RAF influencer execution end‑to‑end: source creators, execute organic outreach, brief, launch, optimize, and manage paid/sponsored partnerships.
Support influencer program marketing by leading briefings and execution for relevant placements (site/app, email) in partnership with Product and/or Creative.
Manage creator relationships and roster health: maintain a high‑quality CRM/roster, vet new talent, measure and assess effectiveness against program goals, and invest in retaining top creators.
Partner with the influencer agency to lead day‑to‑day collaboration (briefs, casting, creative reviews, timelines, status) for timely, best‑in‑class execution.
Deliver actionable insights: analyze RAF influencer marketing performance to optimize strategies, produce reports and recaps, and make strategic recommendations.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Creative, Growth, Product Marketing, Product, Marketing Analytics, and Strategy teams.
Support creator moments that build loyalty by executing experiences/events to deepen relationships with top RAF partners.
Contribute to the Influencer Center of Excellence by sharing best practices, improving processes, and supporting brand influencer initiatives.
Serve as an influencer marketing expert with fluency across social platforms, tools, and KPIs; stay abreast of social trends and pop culture.
What Success Looks Like
Grow RAF influencer outcomes—first‑time buyers and active creator volume—through a clear strategy and disciplined optimization.
Build a healthier roster over time: higher activation, stronger retention of top performers, and cleaner data.
Create a repeatable operating system: consistent briefs, clear guidance on paid vs. organic, and reporting trusted by leadership.
Minimum Requirements
5+ years of influencer marketing experience with measurable performance or growth outcomes (acquisition, conversion, revenue).
Strong creative judgment: capable of writing sharp briefs and providing actionable feedback that improves content.
Strong analytical skills: comfortable with KPIs, dashboards, and data‑driven decision making.
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders—creators, agency, internal teams—with excellent communication and follow‑through.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual base salary range: USD $78,651.00 – $135,216.00, commensurate with experience and local market.
Eligible for discretionary bonus, health, vision, dental insurance, 401(k) matching, PTO, volunteer time off, and other company benefits.
