About the Role
The Company is in search of a Managing Director for its Los Angeles branch. The successful candidate will be a strategic leader with a passion for the intersection of Jewish values, young adult engagement, and service. Responsibilities include developing and implementing a comprehensive program strategy that centers on Jewish service programs, ensuring the infusion of Jewish educational pedagogy, and aligning local program strategies with the organization's mission and values. The role also involves leading local fundraising efforts, cultivating strong relationships with various stakeholder groups, and managing a team to champion the organization's mission locally. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in team management, program development, and fundraising, and will be adept at building and sustaining high-level relationships across diverse sectors.
Applicants for the Managing Director position should have at least 8 years' of progressive leadership experience, with a focus on building Jewish community, program design and execution, supervision, and team development. A deep familiarity with the Los Angeles Jewish communal landscape and a strong network within the community are essential. The role requires a candidate with a service mindset, a growth mindset, and a commitment to making a difference through service. Key skills include partnership development, community building, and a sophisticated awareness of social issues.
