Position: Social Media & Marketing Specialist - SE II- NFWS (2026/2027)
Type: Student Position – Part‑time (10+ hours per week; flexible schedule on campus)
Responsibilities
- Assist with training and peer coaching.
- Ensure projects stay on track; deliver completed materials by deadline.
- Conduct research on social media and outreach strategies.
- Create fun and engaging content on the Wilson Library’s Instagram and TikTok accounts.
- Design promotional materials (flyers, videos) for the Wilson Library using Canva or other graphic‑design software.
- Record video and audio, and photograph the Wilson Library’s services, collections, and events.
- Plan and create library displays for themed events (e.g., Latinx History Month, LGBTQ+ History Month, Banned Books Week, Women’s History Month).
- Plan, create, and execute engaging and interactive library activities.
- Interact with faculty, staff, and students at promotional events to inform them of Library services and resources.
- Collaborate with other units within the Wilson Library on various projects.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experience using Instagram and TikTok.
- Knowledge of Canva or other graphic‑design software.
- Knowledge of iMovie or other video‑editing tools.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Strong project‑management skills to meet deadlines.
- Ability to handle multiple projects efficiently and effectively.
- Must be a current ULV student.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Interest in graphic design, photography, video creation and editing, creative writing, marketing, promotions, public relations, and/or event planning.
- Customer‑service experience.
Benefits
- One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
