Goal
Provide leadership and technical assistance for ESCs and TEA by assisting in the development of educational programs and promote innovative educational practices, strategies, and resources in the K-12 environment, including the integration of technology.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree preferred, Bachelor's Degree required
- Experience coaching/mentoring adult educators
- Knowledge and Skills of current education initiatives and trends
- Knowledge and Skills of the latest technology applications and platforms conducive to the K-12 environment
- 5 years teaching experience and/or experience in Education Technology-related position
Major Responsibilities and Duties
Program Planning/Organizational Skills- Keeps current with technology trends through conferences, training, online resources, and any available collaboration opportunities.
- Develops objectives to meet assessed needs.
- Relates component objectives to ESC goals and TEA priorities.
- Maintains documentation of services and deliverables.
- Develops project objectives and evaluates outcomes as a baseline for future direction.
- Utilize a variety of assessment techniques to research needs and identify resources.
- Assists the Director and/or Associate Director by making recommendations for budget preparation.
- Produce documentation to support expenditures as authorized by the Director and/or Associate Director.
- Demonstrates leadership in the innovation and infusion of technology across the K-12 environment.
- Demonstrate leadership in the development of decisions and innovations affecting program operations.
- Promote and inspire initiative among regional consultants.
- Develop and deliver high-quality professional development training with large-scale audiences.
- Demonstrates effective communication techniques appropriate to the customer and service needed.
- Effectively disseminates technology-related information and innovative instructional options to affected constituents.
- Effectively transmit ideas and information to groups or individuals.
- Collaborative and established working relationships and experience with other ESCs to complete program-related goals and/or outcomes.
- Demonstrates accessibility through regular contact with TEA and ESCs.
- Provide resources, guidance, professional development, and web resources for TEA and ESCs.
- Responds to TEA and ESC requests for assistance through workshops, trainings, technical support, online resources, on-site meetings, and other related services.
- Serves in a coordinating role to disseminate information from related agencies.
- Assists TEA in the selection and implementation of initiatives to meet defined needs as requested.
- Plans and provides training in innovative educational practices and strategies that foster technology integration.
- Perform duties as assigned.
- Demonstrates professional courtesy during any interaction with LEAs and ESC employees.
- Displays an attitude of personal and professional responsibility.
- Seeks collaboration and training in professional areas and shares newly acquired information in areas of responsibility.
Recommends and prepares effective in-service and instructional resources for all constituents.
