Job Overview

Wilkes University invites applicants for a part‑time Assistant Sports Information Director in the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics. This position supports the athletic department by assisting with the administration and promotion of Wilkes University’s NCAA Division III athletics programs while ensuring compliance with NCAA, conference, and institutional guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with all aspects of the sports information department, including game management, scheduling, public relations initiatives, statistics, record keeping, and supporting athletic communications efforts.
  • Assist with site management for assigned intercollegiate athletic contests.
  • Support day‑to‑day athletic department operations.
  • Collaborate with athletic department staff to support the overall success of the department.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.
  • Prior collegiate sports information or athletics experience.
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division III and Landmark Conference rules.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Computer literate and familiar with software systems such as Teamworks, Front Rush, Slate, HUDL.
  • Evening and weekend availability.
