Position Summary
Responsible for group and/or department leadership. Accountable for execution of team and vertical market responsibilities. Leads teams and projects across multiple markets and multiple teams.
Primary Responsibilities
- Preconstruction – External to McCownGordon
Manages and develops relationships with the design team and client. Monitors preconstruction process and ensures project success. Builds relationships with clients, design partners and other project influencers.
- Preconstruction – Internal to McCownGordon
Provides market and/or project team leadership. Oversees and approves team strategies, processes, and deliverables. Ensures team comprehension of contract and development and execution of the PFP.
- Project Development
Assists or develops pursuit process and strategy. Networks actively within the construction industry and generates leads. Leads in RFQ/RFP response. May be involved in project interviews and preliminary client meetings. Engages in professional, civic, or philanthropic organizations in a leadership position.
- Estimating & Business Unit Responsibility
Leads the set-up of the GMP approval. Conducts market analysis. Manages department costs and profit/loss. Leads development and growth of business unit preconstruction team. Leads department initiatives. Develops and implements training programs for associates to ensure their growth and conformance to McCownGordon procedures.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- 13+ years’ experience in Estimating or Preconstruction.
- Proven track record of training, leading and mentoring associates.
- Extensive knowledge of estimating and preconstruction processes and software.
Working Conditions
The position requires work in an office environment.
