WPP Media, part of WPP’s global media collective, leverages data, technology, and partnerships to deliver creative personalization at scale. The Google partnership team seeks an energetic Associate Director to drive revenue through Google Marketing Platform (GMP) license sales and support larger, complex engagements.

Role Summary and Impact

As a volume‑focused hunter, you will own the full sales cycle for high‑volume GMP license deals (CM360, SA360, DV360, GA360), sourced from direct outreach, cross‑sell, upsell, and Google partner referrals. You will act as a transactional closer, provide seamless hand‑offs to technical teams, and collaborate with Business Directors and the Head of Alliance Sales on strategic consultative opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate new business opportunities through direct sales, cross‑sell, up‑sell, and partner referrals.
  • Own the full sales cycle for GMP license opportunities from outreach to closure.
  • Qualify prospects, create proposals, and close deals while handing off to business managers and technical specialists.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline, forecasts, and reporting in Salesforce, ensuring visibility into performance.
  • Build relationships with Google GCS & LCS teams to map solutions and generate a steady lead pipeline.
  • Develop connections with agency client leads across the WPP network for cross‑sell and upsell.
  • Collaborate with Business Directors to meet annual targets.
  • Support the Head of Alliance Sales on larger strategic consulting engagements.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, attend Google events, and contribute to prospecting.
  • Articulate Choreograph’s value proposition within the evolving marketing‑technology landscape.

Skills and Experience

  • A “hunter” mentality motivated by closing new business and comfortable with high‑volume deal flow.
  • 2‑5 years of technical, channel, or partnership sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Proven consultative sales record, ideally with Fortune 500 companies.
  • Strong understanding of the digital advertising landscape and key players.
  • Experience managing a full sales cycle and using Salesforce for pipeline tracking.
  • Technical learning agility and ability to explain technical solutions convincingly.
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Adaptability in fast‑paced, evolving environments.
  • Previous sales experience with a GMP partner company.
  • Experience selling strategic consulting or professional services is a plus.
  • Formal sales training (e.g., Challenger, MEDDIC, Sandler) preferred.
