Special Programming Director, The Wisco Project

The Wisco Project is Wisconsin’s largest youth vote organization. We run large-scale organizing and digital programming to reach and mobilize students across the state. In 2026, we will seek to build on the work of previous cycles to run our strongest program yet and score progressive victories for students across the state. This will be a crucial year for Wisconsin and we are in need of talented, dedicated staff ready to take on this challenge with us!

What Will You Do?

We are looking for a Special Programming Director to manage a defined portfolio of projects including Visibility, Competitive Districts/Down Ballot Races, Special Events, and Distributed DVC during Fall 2026 (planned start mid-summer through 11/15/26). The role will be based in Madison, WI and requires a significant amount of in-person work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a defined portfolio of programmatic priorities
  • Plan and implement creative programming to expand reach and impact on campuses across the state
  • Work collaboratively with leaders of other departments, including Organizing, Creative, Operations, Data, and Voter Access, as necessary to facilitate coordination and foster cohesion
  • As necessary, manage staff and/or fellows assigned to special programming
  • All other duties as assigned

Who Are You?

  • At least 2 cycles of campaign experience
  • A track record of successfully developing and implementing original programming
  • Experience using organizing tools, including relational tools like Reach or Empower and texting platforms like Scale to Win or ThruText
  • Experience managing or staffing organizing or campaign events
  • Experience working collaboratively across departments and working with external partners are strongly preferred

Job Details

Compensation is $7,000/month plus benefits. This is a full-time role.
