  • Convert, clean, and optimize legacy graphics into standardized formats for modern systems
  • Collaborate with engineering, technical publications, and product teams to interpret technical data into clear visual representations
  • Ensure graphics comply with industry standards, including S1000D, MIL-STD, and customer-specific requirements
  • Develop reusable graphic templates, symbols, and libraries
  • Perform quality assurance reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and usability
  • Support integration of graphics into IETMs, web-based platforms, and other digital delivery systems
  • Troubleshoot compatibility issues across tools and publishing environments

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of professional graphic design experience, with a focus on technical or engineering environments
  • Advanced proficiency in SVG creation and optimization
  • Strong working knowledge of CGM (creation, editing, and conversion)
  • Experience with tools such as Adobe Illustrator, CorelDRAW, or specialized CGM editors
  • Familiarity with technical publication standards (S1000D)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage complex datasets
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical data

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting aerospace, defense, or manufacturing industries
  • Knowledge of IETM/IETP systems and workflows
  • Familiarity with XML-based publishing environments
  • Experience with CAD-to-illustration workflows
  • Understanding of configuration management and version control processes
  • Technical precision and accuracy
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Effective communication with cross-functional teams
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Self-driven with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement
