Digital Experience Lead, Senior Vice President
We are seeking a future team member for the role of Digital Experience Lead (SVP) to join our digital marketing in New York, NY.
This leadership role is accountable for the web experience strategy across BNY’s global digital ecosystem, defining the vision for client‑centric digital journeys. The SVP leads and develops a team of digital experience strategists and serves as the enterprise subject matter expert for web experience, ensuring end‑to‑end journey alignment across brand, regulatory, and regional requirements. Partnering with publishers, UX, content design, and business stakeholders, this leader transforms complex marketing needs into scalable, measurable web experiences that drive performance, consistency, and long‑term growth. The position requires strong financial‑services experience, with a particular focus on Investments, to ensure digital strategies align with the specific needs and regulatory landscapes of the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Leads and develops a high‑performing team providing clear direction, prioritization, and accountability for outcomes
- Owns and defines the enterprise web experience vision and strategy across BNY’s websites, ensuring alignment to brand, business priorities, and audience needs across the full client journey
- Oversees the full end‑to‑end client journey across web properties, identifying gaps, redundancies, and optimization opportunities
- Translates marketing and business requirements into structured, scalable, and actionable web journeys, templates, and experience frameworks
- Develops clear strategy and guidelines for web publishing and UX teams, ensuring consistent, high‑quality content hierarchy and page templates
- Partners with web content design to align outcome with UX and component capabilities
- Champions accessibility, usability, and performance best practices
- Collaborates with technology, marketing, brand, compliance, legal, and business teams to deliver integrated, compliant experiences
- Communicates strategy, priorities, and outcomes to senior stakeholders; provides clear and timely updates on delivery status and risks
- Serves as producer for lower‑complexity initiatives, delivering on time and to quality standards
- Publishes AEM updates for minor content needs in alignment to governance standards
- Guides roadmap for experiment design (A/B tests), personalization opportunities, and continuous optimization based on analytics and research
- Builds strong cross‑functional ways of working with Publishing, UX, Content Design, and Intake
- Establishes operating rhythms for planning, prioritization, stand‑ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Directly manages a team of digital experience strategists
- Mentors and develops team members; fosters a culture aligned with BNY’s principles
- Elevates talent through coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities
Qualifications
- 10–12+ years in digital experience, web strategy, or product/marketing roles with progressive leadership responsibilities
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred
- Experience in Finance, with specific expertise in Investments, including partnering with regional stakeholders and tailoring experiences to EMEA, APAC, and NA regulatory and market contexts
- Proven track record owning web experience strategy and delivering complex, multi‑stakeholder initiatives
- Strong fluency in UX principles; ability to give actionable direction to publishing and design teams
- Proficiency with web analytics, and performance/accessibility tooling; data‑driven decision‑making
- Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, establish governance, and drive continuous improvement
- Adobe Experience Manager (AEM): page authoring and workflows best practices experience preferred
- Workfront: intake management, prioritization, resourcing, timelines, and status reporting across initiatives preferred
