This role can be based remotely in Sweden, Denmark, Finland or Norway.
What You Will Do
- Build Scalable Online Systems: Design and maintain robust APIs and backend services that handle high-volume, real-time interactions, keeping Disney’s digital experiences fast, reliable, and magical.
- Performance: Ensure systems run smoothly under heavy load, maintaining low latency, high availability, and seamless scalability.
- Collaborator: Work closely with engineers, designers, and external partners, share knowledge, mentor junior team members, and help shape best practices.
- Strategic Problem‑Solver: Think ahead, identify potential issues early, and develop practical solutions that make a real impact.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Proven Expertise: strong track record of building and maintaining complex online systems at scale.
- Technical Leadership: skilled in high‑performance server development and API design, with the ability to guide architectural decisions.
- Languages: adaptable to any programming language required for the task; experience in Go is a plus.
- Collaborative Mindset: thrive in cross‑functional teams, communicate clearly, and mentor others.
