The Engagement Manager for the Jewish Federation of Greater Chattanooga is responsible for outreach, programming and relationship building for families, individuals, teens and newcomers. This role should foster strong relationships, plan and implement outreach initiatives and programs, and ensure meaningful experiences for new and established community members of all ages.
Responsibilities
- Focus on engagement of young professionals and families, including planning and program implementation; building relationships (Top Priority).
- Welcome and engage all Jewish community newcomers.
- Use CRM and other resources to collect data for targeted approaches with engagement of young professionals and families, young individuals and newcomers of all ages.
- Assist President and CEO to increase participation in Federation programs and develop Federation donors.
- Lead the PJ Library program including maintaining the database, applying for grants and planning programming for kids and families using PJ Library as a platform for deeper engagement.
- Support the Federation’s major programs including Chai Night, Campaign Kickoff, July 4th Event, Jewish Food Festival, Yom Events and Chanukah Party.
- Serve as Federation staff liaison with the organization’s Aleph Bet Preschool.
- Coordinate volunteer recruitment and management with Federation Chief Impact Officer.
- Oversee and staff the Jew Crew high school teen program; outreach to parents; recruit volunteer advisors, assist with programming.
- Create and post content for the organization’s social media channels, collaborating with other staff.
- Write a monthly article for the Federation’s newspaper, The Shofar.
Qualifications & Compensation
Good candidates should have an outgoing personality, a passion to engage with community members, be self‑motivated, caring, organized and professional. Competitive salary ($46,000–$50,000) including benefits (Medical and Dental Insurance, Health Savings Account, Simple IRA, PTO, Professional Development).
