Senior Marketing Manager for Hotel Van Zandt in Austin, Texas.
Hotel Van Zandt is a 319-room independent hotel in Austin’s Rainey Street District, offering more than 25,000 square feet of meeting and event space. The hotel delivers a dynamic, memorable guest experience with live music, poolside programming, and pop-up events that capture the energy of the city.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement integrated marketing plans aligned with business goals to support rooms and food & beverage.
- Monitor, manage, and grow the online presence across hotel websites, vanity websites, company sites, and third‑party platforms.
- Ensure hotel websites are optimized for SEO and align with current best practices; coordinate with agencies and property staff to execute initiatives on time.
- Lead online/digital marketing activities—including website development, paid social, and email campaigns—directing agency partners as needed.
- Leverage reports from agencies, brands, and Google Analytics to refine content and marketing strategies.
- Recommend and implement changes in technology, CMS, or social network platforms to meet evolving business needs.
- Direct the creation of impactful, brand‑aligned creative materials, both online and offline, for corporate and property marketing objectives.
- Oversee agency creative direction and messaging concepts.
- Maintain and enhance SEO strategies, including managing search rankings and keyword performance.
- Update hotel websites through CMS platforms and manage influencer stay strategies in coordination with PR.
- Guide campaign content and creative direction, ensuring consistency with brand identity.
- Analyze marketing KPIs and provide actionable insights to the Director of Sales & Marketing.
- Create and update visual assets using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat) and Canva.
- Capture and curate real-time content for continuous brand refresh.
- Maintain a strong command of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, and Canva.
Qualifications
Education
- Four‑year college degree or equivalent education/experience.
Experience
- Minimum six years of experience in a marketing position.
- Hospitality experience in the Austin market is required.
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Excellent comprehension and literacy for reviewing contracts, proposals, and internal documentation.
- Effective negotiation abilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and multi‑tasking capabilities.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Computer literacy, specifically Microsoft Word for Windows.
- Proficiency in time management and communication at all organizational levels.
