About Martin Media
Martin Media is a growing video production and marketing agency based in Soldotna, Alaska, led by filmmaker and entrepreneur Josiah Martin. We create cinematic commercial content for businesses across the state and high‑end wedding films under our sister brand Alaska Wedding Videographer. We also run social media and marketing for a growing roster of client brands across construction, healthcare, tourism, nonprofit, and tribal sectors. Our brand voice is creative, driven, and rooted in service.

Role Overview
As our Social Media Manager, you’ll own the social media engine for our agency’s client portfolio — currently 5 brand accounts, on track for 10+ in the coming months. You’ll write captions, build graphics, schedule posts, and stay on‑voice for every brand we manage. You’ll also build and maintain client websites alongside our team and support our admin operations with overflow projects as bandwidth allows.

This role is ideal for a young, hungry marketer who wants to be on the inside of a fast‑growing agency — not someone looking for a 9‑to‑5 to coast in.

You won’t be treated as an employee — you’ll be treated as a team member who owns their domain.

Key Responsibilities

Own monthly content calendars and posting schedules for 5–10 client accounts (and growing)

Write captions, build graphics in Canva or Figma, and schedule posts across Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn

Stay on‑voice for every brand — that’s the heart of the job

Track post performance and adjust strategy based on what’s working

AI‑Powered Content Workflows

Use modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Midjourney, Canva AI) at a high level to research, draft, and produce content efficiently

Push AI tools to their limits — know when output is good enough and when it needs your hand

Help us scale content production without sacrificing quality or voice

Website Build & Maintenance

Build and maintain client websites using modern AI‑assisted tools (Framer, Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, or similar)

Collaborate with our team to keep client sites current and on‑brand

Community Engagement

Respond to comments and basic engagement on client brand accounts

Maintain professional, on‑voice presence in public‑facing interactions

Admin Support

Support our admin operations with overflow projects as bandwidth allows

Collaborate with our admin lead on light operational tasks

Qualifications
Required

0–3 years managing social media accounts for brands or businesses (strong recent grads with real portfolios absolutely encouraged)

Strong writing skills with the ability to absorb and produce in a brand’s specific voice — not generic, not AI fluff

Real fluency with AI content tools, not surface‑level usage

Visual taste — you can spot bad design and produce clean graphics in Canva or Figma

Speed — you can ship 20+ pieces of polished content per week across multiple accounts without choking

Self‑starter — you read a directive and run with it

You think like an owner — you take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks; you see what needs to happen and move

Coachable — you take feedback without flinching

Preferred

Experience building or significantly editing websites (Framer, Webflow, WordPress, Squarespace, or similar)

Background in video production, content marketing, or agency work

Experience creating Reels or short‑form content

Familiarity with Slack, Google Drive, Monday.com, or similar collaboration tools

Interest in growing into other parts of our business — occasional production assistance on shoots, brand strategy, or account management

$42K–$52K base depending on experience
