Job Summary / Description

WBBJ 7 Eyewitness News in Jackson, Tennessee is seeking an Anchor/Reporter to join the No. 1 AM Team. The role requires an energetic on‑air presence, the ability to deliver news independently, and to work collaboratively with co‑anchors. Candidates may start as a fill‑in or weekend anchor and move into a full‑time Monday‑Friday position, or transition from a sports anchor to a news anchor.
As a Reporter, you will own stories, develop your own beats and sources, handle breaking news and severe weather coverage, and carry up to 40 pounds of gear. A clean driving record is required.
Qualifications / Requirements

A four‑year degree in broadcast journalism, communications, or a related field is preferred.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
