Position Overview

Director I Sales Carelon - Southeast – a field‑based role requiring travel to client sites or designated locations, with occasional office attendance for meetings or training. The position is based in the Southeast region of the United States and is intended for candidates within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location(s).

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Works closely with leadership to oversee the sales efforts.
  • Establishes relationships with functional areas within the company and partners with key stakeholders.
  • Leads and mentors the sales team by developing key growth action strategies, tactics, and action plans.
  • Achieves projected regional sales targets and objectives aligned with overall business goals.
  • Achieves sales effectiveness by meeting or surpassing gross profit and referral goals.
  • Communicates information and issues regarding competitors and/or business to leadership.
  • Develops and executes sales meetings.
  • Assists in formulating market strategy, including marketing plans and materials.
  • Participates in and/or leads various training programs offered by the company and/or outside organizations.
  • Hires, trains, coaches, counsels, and evaluates the performance of direct reports.

Minimum Requirements

Requires a BA/BS and a minimum of 7 years of experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

  • Minimum of 5 years of healthcare experience with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role strongly preferred.
  • Background in sales with emphasis on specialty pharmacy strongly preferred.
  • Excellent managerial and leadership skills strongly preferred.
  • Exceptional strategic thinking, decision‑making, problem‑solving skills, and adaptability highly preferred.
  • Experience interacting confidently with senior management and executive level stakeholders, functioning as a subject‑matter expert, and influencing decision‑making preferred.
  • Experience in project execution, project management, and process improvement strongly preferred.
  • Excellent written, oral, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills with a proven ability to negotiate expectations between multiple parties strongly preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word strongly preferred.
