Role Description
The Photography Specialist is a full‑time, on‑site role based in the Detroit Metropolitan Area. This role is responsible for planning, shooting, and delivering high‑quality product and lifestyle photography that showcases Rainbow Loom® kits, accessories, and finished creations across e‑commerce, social media, and marketing channels. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include setting up and adjusting studio or on‑location lighting, styling products, capturing still images and short‑form video clips, and collaborating with marketing and design team members to meet creative briefs and brand guidelines. The Photography Specialist will also handle post‑production tasks such as image editing, retouching, file organization, and preparing assets in the correct formats for digital and print use. The role may also support content brainstorming, help maintain photography equipment, and contribute to visual concepts for campaigns and new product launches.
Qualifications
- Strong product and lifestyle Photography skills, including composition, framing, and visual storytelling.
- Proficient in Image Editing using tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or equivalent software.
- Hands‑on experience with studio and on‑location Lighting, including continuous and strobe setups.
- Basic to intermediate Video Production skills for short‑form content (e.g., social media clips, how‑to videos).
- Experience in Product Photography for e‑commerce, social media, or catalog use.
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant photography and editing work, preferably including consumer products or crafts.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and follow brand guidelines with close attention to detail.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to incorporate feedback and work cross‑functionally.
- Comfort working on‑site in a studio or office environment and handling photography equipment on a daily basis.
- Relevant education or training in photography, visual arts, media, or a related field is preferred but not required.
