Job Summary
As the National Director of Sales Operations, you will play a pivotal role as a leader within our sales organization, optimizing sales processes and ensuring our sales department's efficient and effective operation. This role requires a combination of strategic thinking, leadership, and a deep understanding of the cannabis industry or similar CPG industry. You will be responsible for maximizing revenue, enhancing customer satisfaction, and achieving company growth targets.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with company goals, leveraging data insights for growth opportunities.
- Set ambitious sales goals, monitor metrics, and implement effective forecasting processes utilizing data analytics to optimize decision‑making.
- Monitor market trends, competition, and regulatory changes for strategic adjustments, leveraging data analytics.
- Integrate and communicate programs between sales and marketing teams, emphasizing a customer‑centric approach and data‑driven visit strategies.
- Optimize the sales process for productivity, streamline workflows, and identify automation opportunities, applying KPIs and data‑driven insights.
- Implement and maintain CRM systems for tracking sales performance and customer data; serve as local CRM Administrator and BI Super User.
- Collaborate with Finance for accurate sales forecasts and budgets, adjusting strategies as needed, emphasizing analytics for informed decision‑making.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed targets, building a team adept in leveraging data and analytics for sales operations.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners, using data insights to enhance customer satisfaction and support.
- Analyze sales data, ensure compliance with industry regulations, provide comprehensive reports to the executive team, spearhead cross‑functional projects with strategic business partners, emphasizing analytics.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Outstanding analytical, strategic, and communication skills, with a strong emphasis on harnessing data for valuable insights.
- Proficiency in CRM tools, notably Salesforce.com, and expertise in project management emphasizing data utilization for project execution.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- 5+ years in Sales Operations, including 3 years in a leadership capacity, with a keen commitment to data‑driven decision‑making.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods.
- Capability for repetitive hand and arm motions and extended typing.
- Capability to look at a screen for extended periods.
- Some travel may be required.
Work Schedule (Exempt)
This is a full‑time, exempt position. Role requires flexibility to work hours necessary to meet business needs, including extended hours, weekends, and holidays. Schedules may be adjusted based on priorities.

Positions in production facilities may involve exposure to cannabis plant material, dust, and other allergens. Individuals sensitive to pollen, molds, or strong odors may experience discomfort. PPE is provided and required.
