Vice President of Strategic Pharma Accounts

We are partnering with a rapidly scaling, venture-backed life sciences technology company that has raised over $100M in funding and is building one of the industry's most advanced data and informatics platforms supporting global biopharma R&D. The organisation operates at the intersection of scientific data management, translational research, AI-enabled informatics and enterprise software, partnering with many of the world's leading pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

As part of continued commercial expansion, the company is seeking an Enterprise Account Director to lead strategic growth across large pharma accounts in North America.

The Opportunity

This is a senior enterprise sales role focused on acquiring, expanding and developing strategic relationships across Top 20 pharma organisations. You will own complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with enterprise deal values typically ranging from $750K to $3M TCV, engaging scientific, IT, digital transformation and executive stakeholders across R&D organisations.

The company is looking for a highly connected enterprise seller with an established large pharma rolodex and a proven track record selling complex informatics, data platform, cloud, AI/ML or scientific software solutions into enterprise biopharma environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic enterprise sales across major pharmaceutical and biotechnology accounts
  • Build and expand executive-level relationships across scientific, informatics and digital leadership teams
  • Lead highly consultative sales cycles from discovery through negotiation and close
  • Develop account plans focused on long-term expansion and platform adoption
  • Collaborate closely with solutions engineering, product and customer success teams
  • Identify opportunities for multi-year enterprise agreements and global platform rollouts
  • Represent the company at industry conferences and strategic customer engagements

Ideal Background

  • 7-15 years of enterprise software sales experience within life sciences
  • Strong network and existing relationships across large pharma organisations
  • Demonstrated success closing enterprise software deals in the $1M-$3M TCV range
  • Experience selling into R&D, translational science, bioinformatics, data science or scientific IT functions
  • Background selling one or more of the following: Scientific data platforms, Bioinformatics solutions, AI/ML platforms, LIMS / ELN / informatics platforms, Cloud or data infrastructure solutions
