Art Director, Live Action & Brand Video

Summary: We’re seeking a strategic and high-level Art Director to shape our client’s creative vision for editorial and social-native content. This is an “elevated” role focused on holistic visual storytelling rather than hands‑on production. You will be the creative glue for large-scale initiatives, moving fluidly between strategic concepting, script development, and directing external vendors. You must take total ownership of a project, from the initial logic of “why are we telling this story?” to the final aesthetic polish.
The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for more than a “box-checker.” We need a creative leader who can hold complex projects together during crunch times and provide a holistic vision across multiple disciplines.
Key Responsibilities

Lead the development of video strategies for high‑visibility “Stories” within major product initiatives.
Own the presentation process—building keynotes, writing scripts, conversational frameworks, and presenting work to senior leadership.
Provide critical feedback to in‑house designers and motion artists to ensure a cohesive final product.
Serve as the creative authority when working with external production houses, reviewing director treatments and providing high‑level direction during shoots (often via remote directing tools like Evercast).
Manage 2–3 long‑term projects simultaneously (typically 4‑month cycles), maintaining the vision through post‑production, color correction, and final delivery.
Key Qualifications

10+ years of experience at top-tier design, advertising, or production agencies; functioning at a Creative Director level with a heavy emphasis on live‑action.
Exceptional writing skills; able to write precisely, structure documentary‑style scripts, and articulate complex strategies in decks.
Live‑action expertise; portfolio demonstrating mastery of human‑centric storytelling, social‑native formats, and cinematography.
Strategic thinking; ability to elevate a brief beyond aesthetics to business impact.Strong presentation and communication skills; comfortable defending creative decisions and pivoting on high‑level feedback.
Refined taste in typography, graphic design, and motion rhythm to guide execution.
Benefits

Eligible talent receive subsidized health, vision, and dental plans, paid sick leave, and retirement plans with a match.
