About This Role
We’re seeking a whip smart, fitness-obsessed writer to support REP’s content team in a high-impact, part‑time role. You’ll use the power of words to help introduce REP to the world—from writing product descriptions and marketing emails to creating video scripts and must‑read features on our blog. The ideal person has a creative heart and an organized mind. You love dreaming big almost as much as making to‑do lists. You’ve got a well of fitness knowledge that you love to share, and you always know what’s trending. Attention to detail is your middle name, and you’re seeking a team of wordy weirdos where you can learn and grow.

Essential Functions

Write product page descriptions and marketing materials to support new product launches. Write articles for the blog as needed. Support brand campaigns and company initiatives with written content, video scripts, email copy, and more. Ensure all content is optimized for SEO and adheres to our brand voice.

Edit blog posts for quality, tone, accuracy, and SEO. Edit newsletters and social posts as needed.

Make updates to existing blog content and product pages.

Maintain internal documentation (such as our style guide and brand guidelines), manage our freelancer pool, and help our team stay on top of projects by utilizing tools like Monday and Teams.

Work cross‑functionally with e‑commerce, creative, engineering, newsletter, and product teams. Coordinate video and photo shoots with creative teams.

What You Will Bring

Exceptional writing skills. While this role involves editing, your writing chops are more important.

Well versed in grammar, AP style, and Chicago Manual Style.

Fitness expertise. This role deals heavily with exercise content and fitness and nutrition products, so you gotta be in the know. Certifications like CPT, CSCS, BS in Kinesiology, Precision Nutrition, etc., are not required, but a major plus. The ability to translate technical details and studies into consumer‑facing copy is essential.

SEO + AEO knowledge. We’re looking for someone who understands LLMs, EEAT, and creates person‑first keyword content.

Experience with project management software, such as Monday, Asana, Notion, or AirTable.

Strong communication skills that keep people informed. You are proactive, collaborative, and practice radical candor.

A growth mindset that is ready to learn, pivot, and grow. We don’t expect you to have all the answers. We want someone passionate about what we do who can take feedback, ask questions, and learn quickly.

Detail‑oriented with a commitment to our mission of delivering high‑quality, best‑in‑class content to our consumers.

Education And/or Experience

Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four‑year college or university, ideally in Journalism, Marketing, or Communications; or 3 years of experience as a copywriter.

5‑7 years of experience with copywriting.

Additional fitness knowledge/certifications are strongly preferred.
