Overview
Student employees in the Game Management department are tasked with a range of responsibilities related to hosting home intercollegiate athletic events, including assisting with preparation and disassembly of facilities and equipment for sporting competitions and managing game day operations such as field maintenance, in-game management, community engagement, photography, videography, multimedia design, and marketing. Leadership opportunities are available for students in supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

Assist with preparation and disassembly of facilities and equipment for sporting competitions

Manage game day operations including field maintenance and in-game management

Support community engagement, photography, videography, multimedia design, and marketing efforts

Provide leadership opportunities in supervisory roles

Minimum Qualifications

Must be a current University of La Verne student

Must have a FWS award for the 2025/2026 academic year

Basic knowledge of sports and sports equipment

Ability to lift and transport equipment

Good communication skills and willingness to learn new skills

Demonstrated awareness and commitment to effectively establishing relationships and positive communications across multiple dimensions of diversity including, but not limited to race, gender, sexual preference/identity, physical limitations, class or religious perspectives

Ability to work with a diverse team in a fast-paced environment

Enthusiasm and the ability to thrive in an atmosphere of constant change

Preferred Qualifications

Willingness to learn sporting rules and guidelines

Previous experience with athletics and game day operations

Work Schedule
Coordinates with ULV Athletics home competitions and other special events. Schedule is most active on weekends, and availability on Saturdays during the fall season is essential. Works 5-15 hours per week.
