Fox TV Stations FOX Television Stations owns and operates 29 full‑power broadcast television stations in the U.S., including stations in 14 of the top 15 markets and duopolies in 11 markets. 18 of these stations are affiliated with the FOX Network and collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news each week, leveraging viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for FOX Network national content.
JOB DESCRIPTION

Producer
Fox6‑Milwaukee is seeking an experienced news producer to elevate our coverage with innovative storytelling and journalistic integrity, delivering compelling viewer experiences and enhancing FOX6’s reputation as the go‑to source for breaking news.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Create a newscast that delivers unique content, distinguishing FOX6 from the competition.
Maintain unwavering accuracy and demonstrate urgency in news writing.
Exercise strong news judgment while managing multiple facets of production such as stacking, showcasing, and writing teases.
Produce both traditional linear broadcasts and non‑traditional news content, with a strong emphasis on streaming platforms.
Develop and execute dynamic, fast‑paced streaming newscasts tailored for digital audiences, incorporating real‑time updates and audience engagement strategies.
Execute error‑free newscasts from the booth, staying calm under pressure and communicating clearly with the team.
Establish FOX6 as the go‑to source for breaking news and maintain an online presence to support evolving broadcast business demands.
QUALIFICATIONS

College degree (preferably in Journalism) and at least two years of producing experience at a commercial television station.
Excellent news judgment.
Ability to work in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment and pivot quickly during breaking news situations.
Well‑versed in all journalism aspects, from writing and sourcing to social networking.
Experience producing or contributing to streaming or digital newscasts strongly preferred.
Non‑linear editing skills are a plus.
Weekend position; may work holidays and varied hours as needed.

Salary: $55,000–$60,000 annually, with final offer dependent on education, skills, experience and location. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
