Summer Athletics Worker - Marketing

Works with various departments within Athletics to support each department. The position is largely administrative but occasionally requires supporting Athletics-sponsored events.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities Basic office duties: answering phone, greeting guests, special projects, and running errands.
Willing to work with various departments within Athletics and on various projects throughout the summer.
Will need to work outdoor events and may be asked to help around outdoor facilities.
Qualifications and Credentials Education and Experience: High school diploma.
Abilities and Competencies Essential to the Function of the Job Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, conveying clear, well‑articulated information.
Ability to understand, speak, and write English in a professional manner.
Public communication skills to professionally represent Liberty University to business and community customers and associates.
Strong organizational skills.
Problem solving: ability to reason, analyze information and events, and apply judgment to solve routine and complex problems.
Physical and Sensory Abilities Occasional travel to local and campus locations.
Frequent requirement to sit for extended periods to perform deskwork or type on a keyboard.
Regular requirement to hear and speak.
Occasional requirement to stand, walk, and climb stairs.
Handling materials, reaching overhead, kneeling or stooping to conduct business.
Regularly able to lift ten pounds or fewer.
Working Conditions The working environment is a climate‑controlled office setting, well lit, with a moderate noise level.
Driving Requirements Use of one’s personal vehicle is not required.
