Day in the Life / Responsibilities

Create audience‑first, consumer‑grade content for corporate channels, translating complex health and technology topics into clear, relatable, engaging stories.
Translate storytelling strategy into standout, culturally relevant, creator‑native content that drives engagement and strengthens brand perception and trust.
Serve as an on‑camera voice and storyteller: host, interview, and narrate content with authenticity and credibility to humanize the brand and build trust with patients, caregivers, and consumers.
Own end‑to‑end content creation: conceptualize, script, film and edit high‑impact content with speed and quality, applying a strong point of view on what resonates across platforms and formats.
Leverage AI to scale modern content creation: use AI tools to accelerate ideation, production and content adaptation while maintaining editorial judgment, accuracy and brand integrity.
Enable and elevate digital content creation capability across the organization by partnering with internal teams and subject matter experts, modeling best practices, coaching on creator‑style digital content, and expanding the company’s ability to produce effective, audience‑first storytelling.
Required Experience and Education

• Minimum 10years of experience in content creation, media, journalism and/or brand storytelling, or an advanced degree with at least 8years of relevant experience. Baccalaureate degrees earned outside the United States must satisfy 8C.F.R. §214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
Key Skills & Experiences

Proven experience creating high‑performing, audience‑first content, especially short‑form video for consumer platforms (e.g., social media, blogs).
Comfortable and credible on camera with experience hosting, interviewing or narrating content.
Strong storytelling skills, simplifying complex topics—ideally in healthcare, science, or technology.
Nice to have: experience in healthcare, medtech, or regulated industries with an understanding of compliance considerations; sales experience is a bonus.
Background collaborating with subject matter experts (e.g., clinicians, researchers) to bring credibility into storytelling.
Basic analytics skills: ability to interpret performance data and optimize content accordingly.
Experience coaching or enabling others to create effective content.
Hands‑on production skills (scripting, filming, editing) with a bias for speed and quality.
Familiarity with AI tools for content creation (e.g., scripting, editing, versioning) and a thoughtful approach to using them responsibly.
Ability to work cross‑functionally and translate business priorities into compelling, audience‑relevant content.

U.S. Work Authorization & Sponsorship

Medtronic offers U.S. work authorization sponsorship (H‑1B, TN, J, etc.) exclusively for Principal‑level roles and above. Roles below the Principal level require candidates to possess unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and for the duration of employment.
Benefits & Compensation

Base salary range (USD) for U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico): $123,200.00 – $184,800.00. Additional compensation includes a short‑term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). Benefits for regular employees working 20+hours per week include health, dental and vision insurance; health savings account; healthcare flexible spending account; life insurance; long‑term disability leave; dependent daycare spending account; tuition assistance/reimbursement; and the global well‑being program “Simple Steps.” All regular employees qualify for incentive plans, a 401(k) plan with employer match, short‑term disability, paid time off, paid holidays, an employee stock purchase plan, an employee assistance program, a non‑qualified retirement plan supplement, and a capital accumulation plan (subject to IRS minimums).
