About the Role
Senior Audience Strategy Manager, full‑time, reporting to the Director of Performance Media. Salary range $157,000 - $203,000. The position requires presence in Etsy’s Brooklyn Office once or twice per week, depending on proximity. Eligible for equity package; annual performance bonus; and competitive benefits supporting you and your family.
Responsibilities
Strategic Translation & Execution: Translate high‑level brand strategy and insights into actionable audience strategy and bridge the gap between brand objectives and tactical digital marketing execution.
Hands‑On Analytics & Data Interrogation: Apply SQL and analytical skills to dig into customer, market, and behavioral data to shape audience segmentation, targeting parameters, and go‑to‑market strategies.
Data Cleanroom Strategy: Lead the exploration, implementation, and utilization of Data Cleanrooms, partnering with analytics and marketing technology teams to harness cleanroom environments for secure 1P/3P data collaboration and enriched audience insights.
Cross‑Functional Alignment & Influence: Drive alignment across Media, Performance, Analytics, Brand, and Engineering teams. Communicate audience insights and strategies to senior leadership.
Audience Framework Governance: Establish and champion a cohesive audience framework for the marketing organization, define success metrics, set learning agendas, and embed measurement into activation workflows.
Other Tasks: Assume additional tasks as needed; duties may change over time.
Qualifications
6‑8+ years of experience in digital marketing, audience strategy, or marketing analytics within a fast‑paced brand, agency, or tech environment.
Data Cleanroom Knowledge: Basic understanding and experience building strategies for Data Cleanrooms (e.g., Google Ads Data Hub, LiveRamp).
SQL Proficiency: Proven hands‑on analytical skills and proficiency in SQL (required).
AdTech/MarTech Expertise: Deep knowledge of digital marketing ecosystems, identity resolution, CDP architecture, and audience activation tools.
Data Interpretation: Interpret outputs from datasets and marketing technology platforms to inform strategic business decisions.
Creative Self‑Starter: Highly autonomous, proactive, thrives in ambiguity, learns quickly, and does not wait for direction.
Exceptional Influencer: Track record of building internal relationships, driving cross‑functional alignment, and influencing senior partners as an individual contributor.
Results‑Focused: History of delivering measurable business impact by overcoming obstacles.
