Storyful is hiring: Technology Editor, Barron's in New York

Barron’s is seeking a seasoned editor to lead and expand our coverage of the technology sector. This role is central to our editorial mission, responsible for delivering timely digital analysis and deeply reported enterprise stories with a sophisticated financial perspective.
Responsibilities

Manage a team of reporters covering technology beats including earnings reports, product launches, and industry trends.
Ensure high standards of accuracy, clarity, and analytical depth in all coverage.
Develop and edit long‑form enterprise stories and investigative pieces for Barron’s magazine and online.
Coordinate coverage that intersects with other sectors, highlighting technology’s influence on the global economy.
Use data and metrics to guide editorial decisions and optimize content for digital platforms and newsletters.
Qualifications

Minimum of eight years of experience in financial journalism, business reporting, or technology coverage.
Deep knowledge of the technology sector and ability to translate complex market dynamics into compelling, reader‑friendly journalism.
Proven ability to deliver sharp analysis and engaging storytelling across multiple formats.
Strong editorial judgment, able to edit complex stories under tight deadlines while maintaining Barron’s standards.
Leadership experience managing editorial teams.
Compensation and Benefits

Base Pay Range: $135,000 – $155,000. For bonus‑eligible roles, targets are based on market benchmarks and individual contributions. Benefits include health, retirement, wellbeing, and additional options to meet employee needs.
