Responsibilities

Develop a plan of care based on ongoing patient assessments in the holding area, operative suite, and post-operative setting.
Implement perioperative nursing techniques while adhering to safety and aseptic standards.
Maintain a sterile field during surgical procedures.
Educate patients and families about surgical processes and nursing interventions.
Document patient interactions and individualized changes in the plan of care.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Completion of an accredited registered nurse program required; BSN preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of prior Operating Room experience required.
Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications, renewed every two years.
