NEW WATERLOO is hiring for a SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER

On-Site – Austin, TX / Full-Time

The Social Media Manager will play an integral role in driving brand awareness, audience growth, and community engagement across New Waterloo’s Austin-based concepts, including New Waterloo properties such as Butler Pitch & Putt, Il Brutto, La Condesa, Sway, Mañana Coffee, and Trick Hat Workway. This role serves as the primary creative lead for social media strategy, content creation, and online community engagement while helping ensure each brand maintains a strong, consistent, and culturally relevant presence across digital platforms.

The Social Media Manager is highly creative, hospitality-focused, and trend-aware with the ability to balance strategy, storytelling, analytics, and execution in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This individual will work closely with the Corporate Director of Marketing, General Managers, and operational teams to support business goals, community engagement, brand growth, and overall marketing initiatives.

What you'll do:

Social Media Strategy + Brand Growth

Lead social media strategy across all New Waterloo concepts and digital platforms

Develop and execute monthly, quarterly, and yearly content calendars aligned with business goals and key need periods

Capture, edit, and publish engaging static and video content that reflects each brand’s voice and identity

Establish platform-specific strategies to grow engagement, visibility, and audience across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, LinkedIn, and emerging channels

Stay on top of social trends, cultural moments, and digital opportunities to keep content fresh, relevant, and innovative

Analyze social media performance metrics and use data-driven insights to improve engagement, reach, and conversions

Provide regular reporting, recommendations, and key wins to leadership teams

Content Creation + Brand Storytelling

Plan and coordinate all aspects of content creation, including photography, videography, editing, copywriting, and scheduling

Work alongside property teams, creatives, freelancers, photographers, and influencers to produce high-quality on-brand content

Support menu launches, events, promotions, partnerships, and campaigns through compelling digital storytelling

Maintain and evolve each brand’s voice while ensuring consistency across all marketing touchpoints

Collaborate with creative teams to support branded graphics, event assets, and promotional materials

Community Engagement + Hospitality

Manage community engagement across social media platforms by responding to comments, messages, and online conversations

Build relationships with guests, influencers, local partners, and online communities

Develop both proactive and reactive community management strategies that strengthen brand loyalty and audience connection

Support online reputation management, including Google presence, guest sentiment, and review responses

Assist with influencer partnerships, visits, deliverables, and ongoing relationship management

Support local restaurant marketing initiatives and community engagement opportunities

Operations + Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with General Managers, operations teams, and corporate leadership to align marketing initiatives with operational goals

Coordinate timelines, scheduling, budgets, and logistics related to content shoots and campaigns

Manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring deliverables remain organized and on schedule

Support the implementation of marketing initiatives at the restaurant level

Maintain strong communication across departments and ensure marketing efforts are executed efficiently and thoughtfully

Support additional marketing and creative projects as needed

Who you are:

You have 3+ years of experience in social media marketing, hospitality marketing, content creation, or another creative, brand‑focused environment

You have experience with photography, videography, editing, and creating content that feels visually compelling and culturally relevant

You have a strong understanding of social media platforms, digital trends, and audience engagement strategies

You are highly creative while also understanding the importance of metrics, analytics, and performance tracking

You are confident in balancing big‑picture strategy with hands‑on execution

You are organized, self‑motivated, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment

You are collaborative, communicative, and comfortable working with a variety of personalities and teams

You have strong copywriting and storytelling skills with an understanding of how brand voice impacts performance

You are solutions‑oriented and adaptable, with the ability to pivot quickly when priorities shift

You have positive energy, strong attention to detail, and a willingness to jump in wherever needed

You believe in hospitality deeply and understand how digital storytelling supports the guest experience

Bonus points if you have previous experience working with restaurants, hotels, lifestyle brands, or hospitality groups
