Operations Technician

Atlantach Technical Services is an engineering and technical solutions company specializing in Construction Management, Project Management, Commissioning and Operations & Maintenance.

We are currently hiring a Field Service Technician to support a large-scale datacenter project in Aldie, Virginia.

Duties and Responsibilities

Field Device & Hardware Work: Temperature probe / Pressure sensor swap‑out; Poly tubing repair / replacement; Low‑voltage controls wiring & terminations; Basic electrical troubleshooting.

Controls Systems & Software Support: Firmware/Software updates on field controllers / devices; Niagara/Distech Hardware/Software and Ignition Software; Basic controls system diagnostics; Alarm Troubleshooting and corrective actions; Communications Troubleshooting and remediation; Modbus and TCP/IP.

Service & Maintenance Work: Preventive maintenance execution for BMS & EPMS; Functional checks & system validation; Live environment work discipline.

Authority: Stop job if unsafe; Carry out duties meeting Quality, Safety and Environmental requirements.

Requirements

Strong understanding of Building Management Systems (BMS), Energy Management Systems (EMS), Electrical Power Management System (EPMS) and integration protocols (BACnet, Modbus, SNMP).

Accurate service reporting and documentation.

Ability to follow MOP/SOP/change control procedures.

Clear escalation of complex issues.

Experience of Ignition Support desirable – Basic programming, modifications, adding / editing graphics, tag verification etc.

Accurate and disciplined time management and communication to coordination team.

Experience working with major BMS platforms.

Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate across trades and disciplines.
