Altra: Art Director, Retail

Overview Altra Art Director, Retail – responsible for executing Altra Running’s brand across retail environments, managing retail creative assets from concept to final production.
Key Responsibilities Support the execution of Altra Running’s brand across retail environments, focusing on in‑store and physical experiences.
Work closely with Creative Director, Associate Creative Directors, and retail marketing teams to develop and produce retail assets from concept through final production.
Translate brand direction into real‑world retail applications, ensuring all retail touch points are clear, consistent, and visually compelling.
Execute retail creative across in‑store environments—including signage, windows, shop‑in‑shops, and retail toolkits.
Interpret briefs, incorporate feedback, and deliver accurate, on‑brand, production‑ready designs for print and fabrication.
Collaborate with retail marketing, traffic, production, and cross‑functional partners to ensure timely and accurate project completion.
Manage multiple projects, timelines, and priorities while maintaining clarity and momentum.
Required Skills & Experience 2–4+ years of experience and professional achievements in retail creative or related fields.
Basic understanding of retail environments and in‑store customer experience.
Strong design fundamentals (layout, typography, composition).
Portfolio demonstrating solid execution and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign); Figma is a plus.
Understanding of print production and file setup.
Ability to follow brand guidelines and apply feedback effectively.
Strong organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Skills (Optional) Exposure to retail design, visual merchandising, or environmental graphics.
Interest in spatial or 3D design.
Experience working with multi‑channel or campaign‑based creative.
Compensation & Benefits Hiring range: $82,080.00 – $102,600.00 USD annually. Position eligible for additional incentive compensation including an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
