Working remotely on a contract basis, the Biome Artist will create and manage terrain and vegetation systems for game arenas, ensuring each biome has a unique identity while collaborating with the art team to meet visual standards.
Key Responsibilities
Create and integrate terrain, foliage, and vegetation assets for various biomes
Build and maintain asset libraries for ground cover, trees, and rocks designed for performance and scalability
Collaborate with the Art Director to ensure biomes align with visual briefs and seasonal changes
Required Qualifications
5+ years of environment art experience on shipped AAA titles, focusing on terrain and natural content
Strong experience with Unreal Engine 5, including Landscape tools and PCG
Proficiency with vegetation tools like SpeedTree and understanding of plant growth and lighting
Solid grasp of PBR material workflows for diverse lighting scenarios
Experience in building artist-friendly asset systems that scale
