Relationship Manager, Eastern North Dakota — Reports to Director of Regional Advancement. Department: Regions. Location: Greater Fargo Area, North Dakota (limited JA North meetings).

Position Summary

The Relationship Manager is a full‑time position focused on developing and growing community relationships, securing funding, and engaging corporate partners for Junior Achievement North. The role requires building new partnerships, cultivating existing donors, promoting employee engagement, and supporting program impact through fundraising and volunteer events.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Develop, cultivate, and solicit funding partners (corporate, foundation, individual) and manage acquisitions, stewardship, and milestones.
Maintain a portfolio of prospects, conduct cultivation and solicitation campaigns, and close gifts.
Collaborate with the Director of Regional Advancement and Program Manager to align fundraising strategy with program goals.
Promote employee engagement through volunteerism, special events, and employee giving.
Create and deliver sponsorship proposals and event solicitations.
Support and grow the Regional Advisory Board to advance regional objectives.
Identify networking, event, and community engagement opportunities; attend and represent Junior Achievement.
Secure speaking opportunities, new partnerships, and media exposure to elevate Junior Achievement’s presence.
Lead and deliver special events to generate funding and awareness.
Assist program impact alignment with fundraising, ensuring regional and state objectives are met.
Build relationships with community partners, volunteers, and funders to support experiential learning programming.
Demonstrate commitment to diversity and inclusion in all partnership activities.
Respond to special assignments and program support as directed by the Director of Regional Advancement.
Education and Experience Requirements

3–5 years of fundraising, business development, or equivalent experience.
Track record of achieving fundraising goals, including five‑figure gifts.
Exceptional relationship‑building and influencing skills with strong communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and work collaboratively across teams.
Strong commitment to team, mission, and quality integrity.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with a fundraising CRM.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
Willingness to travel throughout Eastern North Dakota and attend occasional evening or weekend events.

Physical Requirements
