Audio-Visual (AV) Technician

Flex Tech is seeking skilled

AV Technicians

for commercial new construction and retrofit projects throughout the

Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex . Our clients expect high-quality installations, technical precision, and professionalism—and we reward technicians who consistently deliver.

This role offers steady work, competitive pay, and opportunities to grow into lead or supervisory positions.

Key Responsibilities

Install and service commercial audio-visual systems

Mount flat panel displays, brackets, and projection systems

Install loudspeakers, paging systems, and AV racks

Install and terminate AV connectors and cabling (including soldering when required)

Work with control systems including:

AMX

Crestron

Extron

Upload control code and perform onsite programming adjustments

Configure and support teleconferencing systems such as:

Polycom

Tandberg

Work with professional AV equipment including:

ClearOne

QSC

Biamp

Read and interpret blueprints and system drawings

Lead small crews of 3–6 technicians when required

Maintain clean, organized, and safety-focused jobsites

Required Qualifications

Minimum 2+ years of professional AV installation and service experience

Experience with commercial AV systems and integrations

Working knowledge of AV connectors and terminations

Experience mounting displays, speakers, and related hardware

Familiarity with AV control systems (AMX, Crestron, Extron)

Ability to work independently and within a team environment

Willingness to work days, nights, and weekends as required

Ability to work in tight or confined spaces

Ability to lift heavy equipment and climb ladders

Valid driver’s license

Reliable transportation to DFW-area jobsites

Must pass a drug screen and background check

Preferred Certifications

InfoComm CTS or CTS-I

Crestron certification

DMC certification

Other relevant AV manufacturer certifications
