Role

We are seeking a Machine Learning Researcher to define the next generation of creative technology. In this role, you will be responsible for integrating groundbreaking research into Netflix's massive global production ecosystem and solving critical technical challenges to ensure Netflix maintains its edge in delivering world‑class entertainment through innovative content production tools.
Responsibilities

Foundational Modeling: Develop and optimize model architectures for image and video generation and editing.
Data Strategy: Prepare and organize data for training large‑scale image and video generation models.
Large‑Scale Training: Implement efficient distributed training and data loading infrastructure to support training on large‑scale clusters.
Evaluation Frameworks: Conduct cross‑team evaluations to gather feedback and build representative benchmarks to ensure quality across model outputs.
Requirements

Research Expertise: Deep understanding of fundamentals in deep learning, such as Transformers, Diffusion, etc.
Data‑Centric Mindset: Skilled in data preparation and curation.
Distributed Systems: Proven experience in training and inferring large‑scale models distributively on large clusters.
Impact‑Oriented: Ability to operate in a fast‑paced, innovative culture while focusing on high‑visibility problems.
Bonus Experience: Experience in delivering high‑impact products or open‑source projects.
Compensation

Annual salary range: $300,000.00 – $537,000.00. Compensation is comprised solely of an annual salary with the option to allocate a portion to stock options.
