Collaborating closely with local stations and the national newsroom, the full-time Senior Editor for Station Engagement will manage editorial relationships, develop joint programming projects, and enhance regional economic storytelling in a remote role.
Key responsibilities
Serve as a bridge between local and national journalism by fostering strong editorial relationships with station partners and Marketplace newsroom
Develop, manage, and edit joint programming projects that highlight local economic stories and strengthen Marketplace's regional reporting footprint
Coordinate with digital and social teams to deliver compelling multi-platform content and maintain production schedules for assigned elements
Required qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Journalism or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
Minimum of ten years of experience in editing, reporting, producing, or related journalistic work
At least five years of supervisory or management experience with a proven ability to uphold high editorial standards
Advanced editing skills capable of shaping nuanced coverage of economic and financial topics
Demonstrated ability to deliver national-quality journalism on deadline
