Position Overview
The Office of the President is seeking an astute Social Media Manager with experience developing and executing strategies to drive engagement across social media platforms involving community management, content creation, scheduling, running campaigns, and analyzing metrics.

Responsibilities

Help maintain and expand social media presence, crafting sharp copy, engaging audiences, growing followers, and raising benchmark metrics.

Maintain primary responsibility for publishing content to principal’s social media channels.

Collaborate with the communications, editorial, video, and design teams to identify and achieve common goals, including shaping promotional content to principal’s voice, tone, and cadence, identifying which types of content resonate best with various audiences.

Pull and analyze social media data and metrics to assess content performance.

Monitor social media trends and identify opportunities to optimize an evolving strategy.

Bring the latest industry insights, trends, and best practices as they relate to principal’s followers while also expanding an audience that intersects with global politics and nonpartisan analysis.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, political science, or relevant field.

Strong command of geopolitics and the digital breaking news media ecosystem, with the skillset to synthesize and create content in a dynamic environment.

Expertise with various social media platforms – including but not limited to LinkedIn, Meta, X, Instagram, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky – and hands‑on experience with social analytics, including platform analytics offerings.

Knowledge of social media scheduling and reporting software (experience with Sprout Social, Hootsuite, or comparable platform).

Experience developing social promotion assets, such as graphics, GIFs, and promotional videos.

Creativity, sense of humor, humility, and entrepreneurial instincts in a constantly shifting digital media landscape.

Outstanding time management, written communication, and consensus‑building skills, with a keen attention to detail.

First 6–8 Months Goals

Develop a process to identify and streamline content priorities of principal’s affiliated brands.

Analyze performance metrics of all accounts and provide recommendations on what types of content perform best on each platform.

Accelerate followership growth and engagement across social accounts.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $80,000 to $90,000.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, and education. Decisions will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis.
