Marketing Designer

Balls Foods · Kansas City, KS, USA ·

Job type:
Full Time

Are you a designer who doesn't just make things look good-but makes them happen?

At Balls Foods & Brands, we're looking for a multi-disciplinary Marketing Designer who thrives at the intersection of creativity and execution. Someone who can concept boldly, design beautifully, and roll up their sleeves to bring ideas to life—across screens, stores, and everything in between.

This isn't a sit-back-and-concept role. It's for a doer—a creative who is just as comfortable building a campaign in Adobe as they are walking a store, adjusting signage, capturing content, or collaborating in real time with operators and marketers.

You’ll support all store locations and company-wide initiatives, playing a key role in shaping cohesive, multi-channel brand experiences that show up seamlessly in the everyday lives of our customers—through compelling visuals, engaging content, and meaningful in-store moments. Success in this role requires a natural multi‑tasker who is energized by variety and passionate about the full spectrum of creative and marketing execution.

Creative Direction & Multi‑Channel Design

Concept and execute compelling visual work across print, digital, and in‑store environments

Design immersive in‑store signage systems that elevate the physical shopping experience

Create engaging digital content across social, email, web, and campaign landing pages

Maintain and evolve brand identity across all touchpoints—ensuring consistency while pushing creative forward

Design internal‑facing materials including campaign rollouts, HR initiatives, and motion‑based breakroom content

Print, Production & Material Execution

Own the end‑to‑end production process (concept → prepress → final output)

Develop thoughtful solutions across varied materials and formats (signage, large format, collateral, publications)

Manage print bids and collaborate with vendors to ensure quality, color accuracy, and craftsmanship

Explore and recommend innovative print techniques and materials to elevate brand presence

Collaboration & Creative Partnership

Partner cross‑functionally with marketing, merchandising, operations, and HR to bring ideas to life

Collaborate with external agencies and AWG partners on digital experiences and asset management

Act as a creative leader and brand steward, ensuring alignment while encouraging new ideas

Translate business needs into clear, compelling visual solutions

Outstanding Candidate Looks Like

A multi‑channel designer who can move seamlessly between print, digital, and physical environments

A doer—you take ideas from concept to completion without waiting to be asked

A content‑minded creative who understands how design performs across platforms

A detail‑oriented executor who cares about craft, production, and final output

Comfort working in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment where no two days look the same

A collaborative, solutions‑oriented approach with the confidence to share and defend ideas

Minimum Qualifications

Required: Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or related field (or equivalent experience)

Required: 5+ years of experience in multi‑channel design, ideally in retail, grocery, or high‑volume environments

Required: Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Required: Strong experience with print production, prepress, and vendor management

Required: Demonstrated ability to design across multiple mediums—print, digital, environmental

Required: Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast‑paced environment

Preferred: Experience working with agencies and third‑party production partners
