Job Title Temporary VP, Communications (New York, NY)
Job Responsibilities Experience in lifestyle communications and an interagency environment
Understanding the value and impact of creative storytelling through talent, content and bespoke media experiences – and being able to help push clients with breakthrough ideas
Demonstrating ability to lead a high-priority account and serve as the primary point of contact for clients, while maintaining and mentoring a high-performing, creative and cross-functional team
Demonstrating deep understanding of earned media strategies, activation tactics for product launches, brand announcements and the ability to leverage cultural trends through a PR lens
Experience managing multiple projects from concept to completion by anticipating challenges, troubleshooting problems, proposing solutions, offering client counsel, overseeing quality of work, and ensuring deadline and budget adherence
Strong financial acumen and ability to lead a profitable business, including budgeting, client billing, vendor invoicing, reporting, and recapping
Contributing to cultivating long‑term relationships with key lifestyle, fashion, fitness, sports, tech/innovation, business and consumer media and influencers on behalf of clients
Qualifications At least 8+ years of relevant experience in communications, including a previous focus on lifestyle and culture
Proven track record managing high-performing client accounts and agency teams
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Strong and consistent problem‑solving and analytical skills
Experience using data to inform planning (bonus)
Team player with the ability to project confidence, a positive attitude, good judgment, and perform well under pressure
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited college or university
Compensation Hourly pay: $65-70 per hour. The total compensation package includes annual bonuses and other benefits as described below.
