Account Executive – Buckeye Business

JOB SUMMARY
Account Executive – Buckeye Business is responsible for business development by selling Buckeye Broadband Business Class products and services, generating new business leads and achieving or exceeding a predetermined monthly revenue goal by representing the small to mid-size business segments. The executive ensures execution of the sales program and fulfillment of the company’s sales, operations, and development objectives, reporting to the Director of Business Class Operations. There are no direct reports to this position.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Driving business growth:

Identify, contact, and build relationships with prospective customers through telephone, in‑person cold calls, networking, and referrals to obtain face‑to‑face appointments.

Determine customer needs and design tailored, cost‑effective solutions and sales plans using a consultative approach.

Make sales presentations using selling techniques to leverage BBBC’s position and promote its products and services.

Create quotes that actively depict BBBC’s value proposition and competitive differentiation compared to the customer’s current provider.

Lead negotiations, coordinate decision‑making, and overcome objections to close sales.

Maintaining and growing customer relationships:

Build and strengthen relationships with existing customers by providing quality service, developing future opportunities, and gaining referrals.

Research current accounts to assess optimization and propose cost‑effective solutions that address business challenges, communicating BBBC’s value proposition.

Act as the customer’s advocate within the Business Class organization.

Maintain accurate and timely orders, service qualifications, and paperwork relevant to the sales process.

Record all activities, transactions, and communications in the customer database.

Meeting performance expectations:

Meet or exceed sales objectives and monthly revenue quotas, building new revenue by selling telecommunications products and services to SMB accounts.

Stay current on technical product information and the competitive landscape.

Work on special projects or assignments as assigned by Business Class management.

Attend weekly department meetings to confirm project expectations and deadlines.

Collaborate with the team to meet Business Class Operations performance standards.

Follow and enforce company policies and procedures, including EEO guidelines, safety, and confidentiality.

Perform any miscellaneous department duties as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

High school diploma or GED – required

Associate’s degree – preferred

Previous quota‑based sales experience – required

Telecom B2B sales experience – strongly preferred

Advertising or marketing sales experience – preferred

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) – required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Walking, kneeling, standing, stooping, sitting, driving, hearing, talking, vision (close, distant, color, depth perception, adjust focus), and use of hands and fingers. Light lifting of up to 25 lbs. is occasionally required.
