We’re looking for a high-energy, multidisciplinary Junior Account Executive to join our Washington, D.C. office. Bring 1–2 years of PR or communications experience and be ready to work across tech startups, social‑good campaigns, and consumer brands.
The Role
Assist in the research and development of 360‑degree communications campaigns. Draft active pitches and secure wins across national news, lifestyle outlets, and digital‑first platforms.
Monitor news cycles and social platforms daily to flag emerging trends and influencers relevant to our clients.
Build and maintain media and creator lists that reflect the modern landscape.
Draft first versions of creative pitches, press releases, and briefing notes that translate brand missions into compelling, platform‑agnostic narratives.
Manage daily account essentials—agendas, meeting recaps, activity reports, media tracking—to provide data for leaders.
Support logistics for press conferences, influencer activations, and media events (check‑ins, RSVPs, on‑site coordination).
Show integrity and professionalism in all interactions with colleagues, clients, and the media.
Who You Are
1–2 years of experience in PR or communications, eager to take ownership.
Digitally fluent—understand social media and the creator economy and can translate that into smart pitches.
High emotional intelligence—communicate effectively with senior staff, manage fast‑paced environments, remain calm under pressure.
Fast, concise writer—distinguish between a traditional press release and a punchy email pitch.
Meticulously organized—produce accurate media trackers and briefing notes.
Entrepreneurial spirit—initiate tasks and bring fresh ideas to team discussions.
Salary : $50,000 per year. Non‑exempt role eligible for overtime pay.
