CDPAP Operations Specialist (COS)
The CDPAP Operations Specialist (COS) is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Consumer Directed Personal Assistance Program (CDPAP) Program as a Facilitator for Public Partnership (PPL). This position must possess considerable skill in customer service, understanding of the philosophy of consumer directed services and self-direction, problem-solving and conflict resolution and flexibility to schedule and task changes throughout the workday. This COS will work in unison with the Director of CDPAP Operations to ensure all day-to-day CDPAP Facilitator tasks are completed per the PPL contract.
Performance Responsibilities and Standards
Provide support services to CDPAP consumers who have enrolled with the facilitator in the PPL@ Home portal (“Consumers”) and to personal assistant caregivers who are associated with enrolled Consumers (“PAs”).
Providing telephonic customer support to Consumers and PAs to answer questions related to their CDPAP services.
Providing Consumers with an orientation to CDPAP including ensuring the Consumer has the new hire training and orientation schedule and online resources explaining the hiring process, wages and benefits. Providing the Consumer options for PAs to complete the hiring process with PPL.
Provide support to PA with the PPL hiring process and monitor their employment status.
Nurturing the relationships with Consumers and PAs and provide appropriate support to encourage them to remain in the program.
Committed to upholding the fundamental right of consumers to make informed decisions about their care services.
Provision exceptional, high-quality services to all consumers while maintaining the highest standards of responsiveness and support throughout their care journey.
Completion of monthly required program tasks assigned by the Director of CDPAP Operations including but not limited to: Monthly Contacts, EVV Compliance, Overtime, Health Assessment and Training Compliance, PA/Consumer Registration Reports.
Comply with the provisions of the Facilitators PPL Code of Conduct.
Comply with applicable NYSDOH regulations regarding the responsibilities of providers enrolled in the medical assistance program.
Job Qualifications
High School diploma required, associate’s degree+ OR at least 3-5 years relevant CDPAS experience.
HR knowledge and/or background in social work a plus.
Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite and Outlook).
Previous Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) experience preferred.
Exceptional customer service skills.
Valid NYS driver’s license.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to work independently.
Excellent communications skills and problem-solving ability.
Compliance with agency policies and procedures.
In-state travel required.
Physical Requirements
Ability to sit or stand 90% of the day.
Speaking/visual/hearing ability sufficient to comprehend and express written/verbal communication.
Frequent sitting, standing, walking.
Extended periods of computer use.Ability to express self verbally and in writing.
Ability to verbally communicate over a telephone.
Competitive Salary
The position is an H08 non-exempt position with a min-max rate of: $22.86-$28.57/hour.
