About The Position

The Multimedia Producer creates engaging video, audio, and visual content that helps the Recorder’s Office connect with Maricopa County residents. As the department's primary videographer and photographer, you will capture key events, develop compelling stories, and produce multimedia content that enhances public understanding of our services, programs, and community outreach.
About Us

The Maricopa County Recorder's Office (MCRO) is responsible for recording all documents required by law and making them available for public record. MCRO oversees the voter registration process, documentation, and administration for the County’s approximately 2.5 million voters. It also plays a management role in overseeing early voting, all mail elections, and other election processes and administration. We Require

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Film/Media Production, Public Relations, Public Administration, or a related field
A combination of post‑secondary education and/or communications/public relations experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year‑for‑year basis
Other Requirements

Must complete the next scheduled Secretary of State Election Officer Certification
Must possess or have the ability to obtain a valid Arizona driver's license by the time of hire
Must be eligible to vote in Arizona and pass an applicable background screening
We Also Value

One year of professional content creation, media production, and social media management
Experience working for a government organization
Strong writing skills
Demonstrated knowledge of editing software and other applicable tools such as Adobe, Canva, and Premiere Pro
Professional experience with social media platforms, including X, LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
Job Contributions

Capture the story of the Recorder’s Office as the lead videographer and photographer for community events, outreach initiatives, public programs, and behind‑the‑scenes moments that showcase the department’s impact
Create dynamic multimedia content from start to finish — including filming, photography, audio production, editing, and short‑form digital storytelling designed to inform and engage Maricopa County residents
Bring ideas to life by developing creative concepts, storyboards, scripts, and production plans, then transforming them into polished final products across multiple platforms
Design eye‑catching graphics and visual content for social media, presentations, publications, flyers, campaigns, and other public‑facing communications
Craft clear, engaging written content for newsletters, social media, press releases, announcements, and community updates that strengthen public awareness and trust
Keep digital platforms fresh and informative by managing website content, uploading multimedia assets, and sharing timely public information
Ensure all content reflects accessibility standards, county branding, and best practices in public communication and digital engagement
Collaborate with teams across the Recorder’s Office to support internal communications, special projects, and creative initiatives that connect employees and the community
Jump into new creative opportunities and projects as needed to support the evolving communication goals of the Recorder’s Office
Working Conditions

Work is primarily performed in a standard business office environment. Duties may require travel to off‑site locations and exposure to outdoor elements during events, outreach activities, or filming. Some evening and weekend work may be required throughout the year based on departmental needs. The role requires the ability to lift objects from floor‑to‑waist up to 25 pounds and push or pull items up to 50 pounds, including multimedia equipment. Responsibilities include frequent analytical work and clear oral and written communication. The position requires a high level of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, ethical conduct, and professionalism in all interactions.
