Content Platforms & Operations
is responsible for the development and ongoing advancement of the technical and operational functions driving the worldwide distribution and monetization of Disney's linear networks and streaming content. This includes Disney's media supply chain, network and theatrical distribution operations, media localization, and more. The global team also plays a critical role as the primary collaboration point for Product & Technology with Disney's EMEA, APAC, and LATAM regional business teams.
Job Summary:
Sr. Product Manager (P3) to lead and drive day-to-day product ownership for CPT (Content Planning Tool) and its integrations with upstream and downstream systems, part of the broader Title Origination & Insights ecosystem. CPT is Disney’s central platform for translating title strategy into executable planning—capturing key planning inputs, coordinating release events, and supporting operational workflows that impact how content launches across platforms and territories. This individual will partner with stakeholders to prioritize the product roadmap and have accountability for ongoing enhancement, sustainment, and scalability of the platform.
Key responsibilities include gathering & prioritizing business requirements and translating them into clear product specifications. Working in a cross-functional team environment with design, engineering, and infrastructure partners, this role will help advance CPT for the future business of The Walt Disney Company—enabling big rock streaming initiatives (Hotstar, Delta/Gemini, etc.) and supporting the growth of our Direct-to-Consumer platforms (Disney+, Hulu, etc.) by focusing on AI-enabled workflows and insights, maximizing automation, strengthening system integrations, and driving operational improvements that help teams plan and execute at scale.
Responsibilities and Duties of the Role:
Align business partners and cross-functional teams on product vision and strategy; clearly communicate decisions, tradeoffs, and roadmap priorities
Own the product roadmap and backlog strategy; connect vision, objectives, and outcomes to prioritized delivery plans
Lead stakeholder engagements to evaluate requests, validate value, and propose alternative solutions when appropriate
Define cost/benefit analyses and develop business cases for new initiatives and investments
Define product targets and KPIs; track, report, and drive progress against goals
Partner with business stakeholders to identify and define requirements; translate into clear product specifications and user stories
Own backlog health and prioritization, ensuring transparency, alignment, and rationale for sequencing decisions
Own CPT’s integration requirements and delivery with upstream and downstream partner systems, including dependency management, release sequencing, and operational readiness
Drive data quality, governance, and validation for planning-critical fields to ensure reliable downstream reporting and operational execution
Identify and deliver workflow automation opportunities that reduce manual effort, improve accuracy, and increase throughput for planning and release operations
Drive agile execution through planning, refinements, reviews, and retrospectives; remove blockers and ensure timely delivery
Define and execute UAT strategy (test scripts, acceptance criteria, sign-off) in partnership with product operations and change management
Coordinate major product releases, including readiness, communications, and post-release validation
Partner with engineering and program management to deliver solutions aligned to product strategy and broader Content Platforms objectives
Collaborate across engineering, design, QA, and product leadership to streamline features and improve end-to-end business processes
Build and maintain product documentation, operational processes, and enablement materials (user guides, training) to support adoption and sustainment
Mentor and support junior product managers; provide informal coaching and guidance
Support other duties as needed to achieve business objectives
Required Education, Experience/Skills/Training:
Basic Qualifications
5+ years of progressive product management experience
Strong sense of ownership and accountability with consistent follow-through
Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic, matrixed organization while managing multiple initiatives and competing priorities
Experience defining product vision and roadmaps; ability to rigorously prioritize and articulate roadmap decisions across business teams and stakeholders
Skilled at identifying key issues, analyzing and visualizing data, and telling a compelling story to senior partners to influence and determine important decisions — including through strong product memos and large-scale presentations
Demonstrated understanding of good UX; experience working with product designers to provide actionable and valuable feedback
Experience partnering with engineering and cross-functional teams in agile delivery environments
Strong problem-framing skills; ability to derive insights, evaluate options, and recommend solutions grounded in research, data, and statistical analysis
Experience applying structured cost/benefit analysis and business modeling to support prioritization and investment decisions
Familiarity using modern AI tools to improve productivity, analysis, and/or product workflows
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in a related field, and/or related certification/s
Direct experience working on digital products at a global scale
Exposure or experience with Agile development tools, such as Jira and Confluence
Prior work experience in content planning, scheduling, or metadata management platforms
Knowledge of or experience in media & entertainment industry
Familiarity with API-based integrations or data platform ecosystems
Expertise in the entertainment industry (having worked in a studio, production company, agency, or distributor)
Required Education
Bachelor’s degree in a related field, and/or equivalent work experience

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $148,700.00 to $199,400.00 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
