As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn't changed — we're here to stop breaches, and we've redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI‑native platform. We work on large‑scale distributed systems, processing almost 3 trillion events per day, and this traffic is growing daily. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe, and their lives moving forward.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineer to join our Falcon Risk Platform team. As a key member, you will design and build the foundational risk platform that powers our industry‑leading cybersecurity solutions, using Golang, microservices architecture, and various database ecosystems to deliver comprehensive visibility into risks, management features, and prioritization workflows.
What You'll Do
Backend Architecture and Development: Design and develop scalable backend services powering internal and customer‑facing web applications, with a focus on performance, reliability, and security. Develop and maintain APIs, microservices, and data pipelines to support platform growth. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify and prioritize project requirements.
Cloud Infrastructure and Operations: Collaborate with the DevOps team to design and implement cloud infrastructure solutions using AWS, Azure, or GCP, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability. Develop scripts and tools to automate deployment, monitoring, and maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with security and regulatory requirements.
Database Management and Data Engineering: Design and implement database solutions using distributed data stores (Cassandra, OpenSearch, Iceberg, Neo4J), OLAP stores (Apache Pinot), and caching solutions (Redis, ValKey), ensuring data consistency, integrity, and performance. Develop and maintain data pipelines and ETL processes to support data integration and analytics. Ensure data security and compliance across different databases.
System Troubleshooting and Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot complex distributed architectures, identifying and resolving performance and reliability issues. Develop and implement monitoring and logging solutions to improve system visibility and debugging capabilities. Identify and prioritize performance optimization opportunities.
Collaboration and Technical Leadership: Partner with UI/UX, Sensors, and other teams to deliver integrated solutions with comprehensive documentation. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Define technical vision and strategy with other technical leaders.
Operational Excellence and Service Reliability: Configure advanced monitoring and alerting. Maintain high availability for production services. Develop incident response plans and procedures to minimize downtime.
