Are you a problem-solver with a passion for Caterpillar equipment? As an Engine Technical Communicator at Mustang Cat, you'll provide expert technical support, troubleshoot complex issues, and enhance the skills of dealer technicians within our Power Systems Division.

Your Impact

Assist service teams across locations in diagnosing and resolving complex equipment issues

Provide expert guidance to Mustang Power Systems shop & field service teams (Large Bore 290, Marine, EPG, Tomball, Waller)

Collaborate with Caterpillar engineers via DSN to resolve critical issues

Conduct applied failure analysis and manage technical service requests

Work with district CAT Representatives to resolve warranty concerns

Develop cost-effective solutions for equipment performance issues

Mentor dealer technicians to enhance technical proficiency

Assist sales & parts teams with technical product knowledge

Work closely with Caterpillar to improve equipment performance and service processes

What You Bring

Degree in Diesel Technology or related field (or equivalent experience)

Strong hands‑on experience with Caterpillar engines & power systems

Technical Skills:

Expertise in internal combustion engines (spark vs. compression ignition)

Ability to read schematics, engineering drawings & machining specs

Proficiency in precision measuring tools & dyno testing procedures

Familiarity with CAT diagnostic & service systems

Excellent communication & problem-solving abilities

Detail-oriented & adaptable in high-pressure situations

Team player with a passion for continuous learning
