Overview

The Operations Planning Area Manager supports HSN and is responsible for identifying staffing schedules for all distribution functions based on the 21‑day plan. This onsite role is located at the Piney Flats, TN fulfillment center and reports to the Scheduling Manager. Relocation assistance is not available.
Responsibilities

Work with site management and the corporate analysis group to develop all operations staff schedules based on the staffing plan.
Identify base, seasonal, flex, and overtime needs for all direct and indirect positions.
Conduct employee schedule preference bids consistent with site base scheduling requirements.
Develop computer‑based models for staffing and operations to maximize production.
Work with corporate forecasting and analysis group by communicating varying assumptions and deviations to the staff plan/forecast (absenteeism, vacations, meetings).
Lead the Operations Planning Support Specialists in managing time‑card reconciliation, site scheduling, site time off, and other administrative duties.
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Analytical experience required with 1+ years scheduling experience.
Operational experience associated with site activity, including an understanding of workflow processing, with 1 year experience.
Working knowledge of Excel required.
Background in staff planning and forecast development.
