Overview
The Internal Communications Specialist is responsible for developing, planning, managing, and executing internal content delivery across the enterprise. This role supports the development of all internal communications and intranet content to promote associate engagement throughout Inovalon. The specialist partners with leaders and key stakeholders to develop and deliver content that effectively informs and engages associates.

Duties and Responsibilities

Leads and executes content development in support of overall communication strategies, working with the Director, Internal Communications & Operations.

Builds relationships with internal stakeholders to align content priorities with established communications processes, procedures, and policies.

Collaborates with functions across the business via the Communications Council to develop enterprise-wide content.

Manages the enterprise communications calendar, ensuring appropriate cadence, channel alignment, and coordination across internal platforms.

Publishes content to Nova, the company intranet, in alignment with brand standards and the communications calendar.

Supports the creation and presentation of town hall content, including talking points and slide materials.

Plans and executes ONE Inovalon Connect, a monthly all‑company meeting, including agenda development and content gathering.

Measures the effectiveness of internal communications, reports trends, and recommends opportunities or risks.

Ensures company messages are consistent across all associate audiences and align with overarching goals and initiatives.

Maintains compliance with Inovalon’s policies, procedures, mission statement, confidentiality, and HIPAA requirements.

Assumes any additional duties as requested or determined to support operational and financial success.

Job Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience in communications, PR/media relations, community engagement, and/or social/community platforms.

Prior content management experience.

Experience using analytics tools to track and report on content performance.

Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.

High attention to detail and excellent presentation skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Excellent time‑management and prioritization skills.

Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree required (preferably in Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Public Relations, Media Studies, Business, or a related field).

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Sedentary work, sitting for long periods.

Occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.

Frequent repetitive motions such as lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling objects.

Travel may include 5–10% as needed.

Compensation and Benefits
Base Compensation Range: $63,000—$80,000 USD
Additional compensation may be offered through performance-based incentives. This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship.
