The Senior AV Specialist position within Information Technology is responsible for providing advanced audiovisual and technology support across the University. This role includes the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of audiovisual and computer hardware systems, as well as providing advanced technical support for a wide variety of software applications and integrated AV technologies.
The Senior AV Specialist serves as a lead resource for classroom and conference room technology support, ensuring reliable operation of audiovisual systems in support of teaching, learning, and campus events. Responsibilities include responding to and resolving helpdesk requests in a timely manner within a fast‑paced environment while delivering exceptional customer service to faculty, staff, students, and guests.
This position also plays a key role in the development of technology and audiovisual quotes, system recommendations, equipment specifications, and project planning. The Senior AV Specialist will assist with coordinating and supporting AV installations, upgrades, and special technology projects while collaborating with vendors, contractors, and campus stakeholders to ensure successful project execution and operational excellence.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field OR three to five years of experience in the field.
Preferred Qualifications
Driving may be necessary but is not a primary responsibility.
Work Hours
Monday through Friday – 8am to 5pm.
Some evening and weekend hours as needed.

Heavy lifting may be required.
Supervisory Responsibility
No supervisory responsibilities.
