About the Role
Fuego is looking for a freelance apparel and accessories designer with strong experience in streetwear and athleisure design to support the development of Fuego’s growing apparel category across both men’s and women’s products. This role will focus heavily on apparel design execution, accessory development, technical flats, and production-ready tech pack creation. Categories may include tops, bottoms, outerwear, matching sets, bags, and other lifestyle accessories.

The designer will work directly with Fuego’s Product Manager, who will oversee product strategy, concept direction, development coordination, and factory communications. Your primary responsibility will be translating creative direction into elevated product concepts and accurate technical documentation ready for production. This role is ideal for someone who understands modern streetwear trends, movement-inspired apparel, and commercially viable design across both men’s and women’s markets.

Responsibilities

Design original apparel and accessory concepts across streetwear and athleisure categories

Develop silhouettes, garment details, trims, graphics, washes, hardware, and colorways

Create detailed technical flats and production-ready tech packs

Prepare specification sheets including measurements, construction details, fabrics, stitching, labeling, hardware, and fit notes

Design across both men’s and women’s product categories

Support development of accessories

Revise and update tech packs based on product feedback and sample revisions

Ensure all designs align with Fuego’s brand identity and customer aesthetic

Organize and maintain clear design documentation and version control

Qualifications

3+ years of apparel design experience, preferably in streetwear, athleisure, or contemporary fashion

Strong portfolio showcasing both apparel and accessory design work

Experience designing across men’s and women’s categories

Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop

Experience creating detailed apparel tech packs and technical flats

Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrics, fit, and accessory development

Ability to interpret creative direction and execute efficiently

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

Comfortable working independently in a freelance environment
